When the Assignment Seems Pointless
Look, in college, you have to take required classes. And sometimes you might find it hard to get motivated to do the work in these classes if you feel like it doesn’t relate to your interests or your major. We can tell you that these classes are required for a reason-- the skills in required classes are useful in every walk of life. You need to write, do math and think critically in every job and community around.
But hearing a speech on the importance of composition class might not convince your brain to get engaged. And even in your major courses, you may find yourself up against assignments that don’t seem to relate to you, your interests or your goals.
